87sheerips Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 I have heard that a +2 braided line will work for a stock carrier +4 swinger. If not, what should I get?? Also, how many link chain will I need. I have searched and seen 116 to be about right Quote
locogato11283 Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 yea that should be right. you may just have to run the cable a little differently. if youre not sure get a +4 cable. i know a stock length braided cable will work on a roundhouse +4 or even a +6. reason being is that on a roundhouse swingarm the brake plate sits more on top of the carrier as opposed to out back like stock is set up.. Snopczynski Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 I had a stock line on my bike with a +6 swingarm and went with a +1 stainless line when I upgraded. Quote
BansheeDan Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 (edited) I had a stock line on my bike with a +6 swingarm and went with a +1 stainless line when I upgraded. JD are u using a stock carrier or a roundhouse?? if your using a stock carrier your gonna need atleat a +6 for your +4 arm. im on stock carrier setup with a +6 and i got a line for a +10 and its only a inch or 2 too long. the stock carrier takes a longer line then a roundhouse does. on the stock carrier the caliper is mounted further back then it is on the roundhouse. Wallrat Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 I've got a brand new +2 galfer if you're interested. I installed it but didn't like how long it was on my +2 roundhouse so took it back off. Never had fluid in it and I'll ship it with new washers. PM me with an offer. Quote

Don't know how it will fit for your application but they are cheap enough at $9.99 + $5.25 shipped!! Clear coated and the shop selling them is Earl's Fittings...a well respected AN fittings retailer just blocks from my home. Friendly people there... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YAMAHA-BANS...1QQcmdZViewItem Edited August 13, 2007 by jayzx750 Quote
