breck38 Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 I just designed a new alcohol purge valve that uses the existing coolant recovery tank to store the gas/oil purge mix and then ties into both carbs with the valve. It's as easy as turning the valve off on the main fuel tank and opening the purge valve to flush out the alcohol and not have any worries about old alcohol drawing moisture in and causing rust on the crank and water in the carbs and air filters. The valve also makes it easy to start your alky motor on regular gas and then turn the main tank valve on for alcohol. I'm selling them for $70 each with free shipping within the U.S. or $60 each for orders of 2 or more or to shops. I can also send pics, just drop me a line. Thanks Quote
badassbanshee479 Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 for one, it would be nice if you would become a site sponsor before trying to market anything on this site, for two, can we get some pics of the product, and three, do ya have anyone to back you up as far as to say you are not gonna come on here and run off with a bunch of peoples money like a couple ass clowns have done recently! breck38 Posted August 10, 2007 Author Report Posted August 10, 2007 (edited) Sorry, I didn't realize I had to be a site sponsor to sell it. I made this valve for a friend who is running a 10mil motor and he used it at Dune Fest here in Oregon last week and it worked perfect. As for running off with anyones money that's not going to happen, I've been manufacturing a couple brake manifolds for race cars that I've sold all over the world and my Ebay feedback at 100% also speaks for itself too. I just make these products in my off tiem as a hobby and to help others with products that they need but can't afford to have made or find. Hope that helps, once again sorry about not going thru the right hoops, just didn't see anything that said I couldn't sell them on here. The pics I have are to large to upload. jbooker82 Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 It is probably just a 5 outlet distribution block. With one hose that goes to the overflow catch can with a valve in the hose. Somthing along the lines of this. You hook the T in side ways so that your dual fuel lines go straight through the T and on the top you run a fuel line to your res tank with a vavle. Quote
breck38 Posted August 10, 2007 Author Report Posted August 10, 2007 Here is the link that you can paste in and see on Ebay since the pic files are to big to upload. This will eliminate the guessing. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...525260&rd=1 Quote

dynodon Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 I have never had a problem "starting" my bike on alky !?!?!! hmmmmm. I just have a second bung in my aluminum tankl with a shut off, works for me Quote
breck38 Posted August 11, 2007 Author Report Posted August 11, 2007 It helps to start on gas over here on the Oregon coast with the cool temps. Sorry about the mess up on the price, they are $65 each. What does the second valve on your fuel tank do for purging the alk? Quote
dynodon Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 drains the alky from tank ( which has to be done anyway to prevent moisture in tank) then put in the premix, flush out motor, and drain again. Its really simple, works for me. However, someone having to add another bung and shut off would spend more than the 65 bucks for this. I just happened to have mine made before installing the tank Quote
