so yea me and my buddy joel have been talking and ive convinced him to put a stroker crank in his 500 :cool: have any of ya seen this done? I explained it to him and i think i got it down

i had a 4mm cr500 stroker motor built by k and t a few years ago. i had it in a banshee frame. it was pretty quick. in a bike it would be faster than fuck. what are you planning on doing with it? that motor makes a ton of power stock, let alone being a 4mm..

I kno its gonna be so bad ass ive never heard of anyone doing it, head turner for sure. I was tellin him to do it with a 4mil, keep it with the stock look mill the head some timing advance woo! What kind of compression were u getting out of urs?

everyone always wants more power.. thats why we mod our banshees. same with cr500's.

My step dad has a 00 Cr500 with everything done to it besides stroker crank and my buddy has an 86 atc with a cr500 motor thats has the 4mill stroker crank in it. They both fuckin rip hard!! The Atc has a cool head and the bike has a swirl ported head that the only difference between the two motors then the crank

yea its gonna be stupid fast lol but sooo bad ass i think hell be able to handle it hes a bigger guy stretch the ass end a little, me on my 4mil and him on a stroked 500 cruisin the dunes Will it still act like my 4mil in the cub? i think it will have a broader powerband

cr500 has a totally different kind of power than a banshee. it will be a lot more broad similar to a 4 stroke.

this is not really just an easy conversion. i would recommend sending the motor to k and t. they have a lot of experience with the cr500 motors. the crank actually isnt a full 4mm.. its somewhere between 3.5 and 4. crankworks actually built the crank for k and t. who is building this motor?

yea im actually on the K&t page right now ive talked to them in person cool guys, im thinking he should send the top end out and get the crank from the same shop, is there any case work involved? other than that we were gonna throw it together
