My chain broke and it did this. what can i do to make it look better? i was thinking a new billet piece there but would it still have an empty screw hole? anybody know of any that arnt as long as stock? shee rips Posted August 8, 2007 Report Share Posted August 8, 2007 the exact same thing happened to mine too. i got it welded and smoothed out pretty good with a die grinder. you could hardly tell after. then it happened again :: so this time i think im just gonna leave it. shee rips Posted August 8, 2007 Report Share Posted August 8, 2007 makes me not want to invest into a nice polished case. if its gunna happen again and again. decisions, decisions. welll.... both times were my fault. the first time i had no shain guide on the back and the chain was real loose and it came off. the second time my carrier bearings were totally gone and i eas trying to limp it to somewhere i could get picked up from. the play in the carrier let the chain get real loose and also crooked so it came off again. luckily i was in first gear both times otherwise it could have been more serious damage.
