As long as the rings are lined up properly on the piston it should slide right over. Are you using oil or anything to help it slide over and doing it dry? Is the piston the right size for the cylinders?

line up the end gaps with the studs and go buy a ring compresser from checker or sumthing there pretty cheap

this should be a very simple task. put a little oil in the cylinder to help them slide in. line the dowels up with the rings. compress the rings and slide the cylinder over. if you have stock cylinders it should be very easy. cubs are a little more difficult but not much.. if they arent going in pretty easily something else might be wrong. why did you have it tore apart?

hmm maybe u have the scraper ring in the compression groove usually the scraper has a bigger end gap, markings should be towards the crown
