ok my problem is this when my bike is idling the color of the exhaust smoke is fine. then when i rev it it slowly gets thicker and turns into a more whitish color, not coolant white just a thin white cloud. if i stab the throttle quick and let off it poofs smoke. elevation sea level 75 degrees mods in sig. :thanks:

i bet youre pilot is too rich. for toomey pipes toomey says to use stock pilots at 2000 feet and below.

was the engine cold when it smokes? nearly all banshees smoke when cold. its just the nature of a 2 stroke to smoke when cold.

it was pretty warm i let it warm up and cruised around for like 30 min and it still did it but throttle response and power delivery was awesome. im going to get some27.5 pilots and do a plug chop to see were im at but im going to stop worrying about it. :thanks:

toomey recomends stock size pilots not 27.5.

heres a quote.

This is the final carb setting check list:

Needle on the 4th groove

#280 Main jet (sea level, #270 for hot days or high altitude <2500')

Float setting = 21mm

Airscrew at approx. 1.5 turns out from full in. (Effective range .5 to 2.5)

Standard pilot jet (#25)

These ARE the right settings! If it's not running right, IT'S NOT THE CARBURETORS!! It's in the installation! (you did it)

the last post was for loco i think he might have missed my first post. and i didnt jet it cascade innovations did it in march with the rebuild and it ran fucking awesome but now its hotter and time to rejet but ive never messed with 2 strokes so im nervous fucking with shit. i had the same jets in your list when my bike was just pipes and pro flow and it was rich and fouling plugs every 10 min.

if anything it looks fine

of corse its gonna smoke more when you rev it your burning more and not moving its not gonna just disapear right away

if anything do a plug chop on a proper day (temp wise) and do it right

if its a little too rich then its nothin , 5 min changin main jets is easy without tors

but really if its not super rich then i would say hell with it?

i would try a smaller pilot anyway, but if that doesnt change anything for the better then i wouldn't worry about the smoke.

what oil are you using?

im using castor 927 in 114 leaded race fuel. thanks for the reply. i am on my way to the dunes on sat so ill figure it out there but im going to try a smaller pilot a 27.5 so hopefully that helps it out. i just tend to get nervous with this thing because it seems there is always a problem, and ive already been put on credit card restiction by the wife.... LOL

Litsen to what these boys had to say, but also why are you running 114? What is your compression? 114 is a very high octane fuel for a nearly stock bike..

Ditto, near stock motor would benefit more from 100 octane if any race fuel is used at all.
