87sheerips Posted July 7, 2007 Report Posted July 7, 2007 Well i needed something cheap to start running at the local 1/8th mile ashphalt drags. Heres what i got, and what do u think?? Duro topfighter tires Im running a stock swinger, and 15/41 gears. I think i should have plenty of gear with the 21" rear tires. Quote

csrmel Posted July 11, 2007 Report Posted July 11, 2007 heres a funny question what do you guys think of using golt cart tyres for an entry level tarmac drag banshee? i have like 3 sets of golf cart tyres sitting in my garage with nothing to put them on. they are 18x8.5-8 carlslyle brand. i bet they are not the stickiest tyres in the world but they sure do have low rolling resistance. a set of 8 inch wheels are about $50-$60 for a pair of cheapies. should i give these golf cart tyres a shot? also what is a good tyre for the front of a banshee, prefer to use stock wheels because im a cheap ass (why else would i ask about golf cart tyres haha). i was thinking maybe some worn out knobbies, can pick those up for nearly free on ebay. someone tell me im not crazy. I would think they arent speed rated very high & that would suck on the big end Quote
