hey guys i just go a quick question, i just bought my first banshee last weekend and i was ridding it today and it ran great for about 20 mins (alot of hillclimbing in gravel pit) but somtimes i go to hit a hill and it just will bog down and not hit the powerband. if i let it set for like 2 mins it works fine again for 10 min or so. i checked the jetting and it is a little rich but why would it bog only once and awhile is my question. thanks in advance mike

What mods are all done to the bike? What do your plugs look like, are they old plugs? What is your elevation and jetting right now?

might be a float or clog.

Yea, if he says his jetting is close, but then it will bog down on hills, etc. I know mine bogged one time and I thought something was wrong, but it ended up being my fuel shut off...I would suggest taking apart your carbs, cleaning them high carb cleaner and an air gun..and checking your floats, make sure they are not sticking, and to make sure they are in spec.

well i know that the float isnt sticking cuz i checked them out the other day when i dropped a jet. but my mods that i can tell is it has a 2 into 1 carb (38 mm i think) FMF pipes. the plugs a alittle wet and the altittude is around 4500 feet with a 175 kehin jets i should also metion that when i bogs i can turn right around and run i WOT with no problem on flat ground. but i did drop the needle one slot and it didnt bog as much. i guess that i was thinking if the jetting was the problem it would do that all the time is what i thought.

Hmm, if the plug is wet, you are running too rich, IMO. Do you have pictures of your spark plugs? I would get some smaller mains and start re-jetting and dialing her in and see what she likes. If your plugs are wet, you can go smaller on the mains a good amount. It's all about jetting, reading plugs, jetting, reading plugs, just keeps going.

Maybe you have to change your sprocket setup. i know i have to change my setup when i ride in sand and dirt. If you are on flat land can you hit sixth easy in WOT? if you can't you have to change your setup.
