No, thats pretty normal. Mine is pitted and rust has set in on the pits! It has very few hours on it. Hard spot to have any chrome, I guess.

some areas dirt and such is friggin toxic to chrome and alum. upstate pennsylvania has this red clay that corrodes alum. i never seen anything like it. went upstate with shiny polished alum rims and came home with rims that looked like lead.dull gray.

I ride some rocky trails but don't think they compare to Cinders but I don't have that problem on my axle. But I have the G Force not Lonestar. I don't mind it's a bit heavier, I don't really drag but happy finish didn't go dull or chip in any conditions. Try calling Lonestar about it. Do they provide any warranty?

That is bullshit, especially the price you pay for one of those, it should hold up ALOT better than that. Call them back, complain, get a Gforce axle  - i want one really bad.. but ill refrain myself from spending another dime on my shee until septmeber..

My G-Force held up pretty decent, but it will still pit. When it gets really bad I'll probably just have it PCed, thats the only thing that holds up here in the Northeast.

As for not spending any money, how are you gonna ride with no pipes??
