MDS2106 Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 Does anyone run their bike without the clip/plate behind the clutch basket? It seems like it would be alot quicker to split the cases without having to remove the clutch assembly.Does the clip/plate serve as a bearing stop or does it hold the cases together? The mainshaft bearing has a clip to keep it from walking.I guess that other clip is secondary protection???? chevy7398 Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 im sure its there for a reason, how often do you plan on splitng your cases that its to much trouble to pop the clutch basket off? ive split my cases once after 7 years of hard riding Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 umm, i think its got a purpose there. i think it holds that shaft in place or something. just leave it on.. i dont see why youd need to split your cases that often? Quote
