motocrossrider68 Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 hey last weekend at the dunes i bent my subframe and was wondering where to find one. i live in washingston. is there any place close to me that does subframes. also about how much do they run for?? thanks miles Quote
Snopczynski Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 Dave Roberts of ILR Performance in Bonney Lake, WA can build you a subframe. I dont know the cost, but he built one for my friends bike and raised the frame 2" cause he is 6'5" tall. Quote
Hollister_Hitman Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 i just torched mine and bent it back. Quote
BigRed350x Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 Note to self, don't buy any bikes or frames from him ^ Quote
Hollister_Hitman Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 Note to self, don't buy any bikes or frames from him ^ yeah that was before i bent it back. It might bend easier now but it looks a lot better, plus i will never sell it Quote
Snopczynski Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 99% of the time doing that leaves a crease in the tube which significantly weakens it. Quote
cam2 Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 (edited) Note to self, don't buy any bikes or frames from him ^ hahahaha, i'll try to remember that. also, shop around for another frame. you may be able to find a good deal on one that isn't tweaked. Edited May 30, 2007 by cam2 Quote
dajogejr Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 yeah that was before i bent it back. It might bend easier now but it looks a lot better, plus i will never sell it Note to self #2: Do not ride Hollister's bike if he offers.... LOL... Just playing with ya. Tyson Racing does nice banshee frame work. Mine is a complete cut and lightened chassis with a 'moly subframe as well. Quote
EastCoast Banshee Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 i just torched mine and bent it back. Been there done that... you should have seen mine it was way worse. Bent both my silencers as well. Shitty day to say the least but its all better now. Quote
Bansh88 Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 Finding a subframe isn't the problem. Attatching to your frame is. Lonestar has a detatchable subframe but you'll need to fab brackets onto the frame to put it on. You can cut a sub off a stock frame but you'll want a pro welder to put it on. That would be a really bad day if your riding and the rear falls off. Might want to think about bending it back a abit and liove with it for a while. Quote
sheefreak Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 Podo's racing also makes one(don't know the number, but you can reach them on ebay). But as Dave suggested, you can't beat the price on Tyson's! Quote
Snopczynski Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 You can talk to Dyno Dave from ILR, he is in the state you live in so you can bring him the frame and have him do all the work. Quote
