Smoked my new clutch

Man, im on my second season with the tusk kit. Just blew apart my basket, and the fibers looked great (besides the ones that broke). I actually can vow a pretty good word for the tusk set. But i will be calling Jeff soon for one of his setups!

I am running a drag ported 4-mill and am on the second season of my Tusk fibers. Regardless of what clutch you used, your bike should not have smoked em that quick. Are you running a stock spring, or something heavy duty?

I agree, if you smoked the Tusk clutch that fast then you have an underlying problem, I'd be checking out the basket and hub very close.

Make sure you lined the arrows up between the crankcase and the clutch arm. This can cause premature clutch failure if not aligned correctly.

well i smoked the clutch by really giving it a workout, i had to slip it for a few minutes because i was going a rough mountain in 1st gear, and the basket and everything looked good when i put it in, no shavings or anything in the old oil, but i will tear it down this weekend and check everything, and also i used 3 hd springs and 3 stock ones with the tusk
