would anybody tell me how to get the chain off my bmx bike?

there is the odd looking link on the chain so how do i disconnect it to have a split chain and put it on another bike

the odd looking link is most likely the master link. it's been a loooooooooong time since i've worked on a bicycle. but if i remember correctly that should pop off with the aid of a screw driver and possibly a hammer. it probably doesn't have a retaining clip like a motor cycle chain has.

i hope o dot fck up my chain because its for my dragbicycle lol

Yeah i'm having the same problem with my Shee, i ordered the aftermarket chain slider, new chain, new front and rear sprockets and for the new chain i'm gonna have to bring it to our local cycle shop and have him put it on cause i don't have the tool to take links out. i'm pissed.

do you have a grinder of some sort? a bench grinder and vise grips, a hand grinder and a vise, etc.,etc.? if so, you don't need no stinkin special tool. or a shop to do it for you.

No not right now i'm just getting settled into the new house haven't got everything set up yet. I have one at work though, i can put the bike in the back of the truck and haul it up here and use it...lol
