2strokespirit Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 I did search and find 2 answers on this, but need more. I want a rush :-) so i am going to built a cub, I just want to know, does n cub have less bottem-mid power than a stock cylinder banshee? This aint going to change my mind on building a cub, i am just curious cause i know they are drag cylinders which does not make a lot of bottom end power, how much is horrible low end? Less than a stock cylinder? Thanks. Quote
locogato11283 Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 yes cubs have next to no low end. they are not trail friendly and they arent for going slow on. if you want bottom end then stick with stock cylinders.. Quote
dajogejr Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 If you did a search correctly, you would've found a whole heck of a lot more than 2 answers. Agreed with loco and bigboy. They are not a trail friendly cylinder. WOT or not with these babies. Quote
2strokespirit Posted May 3, 2007 Author Report Posted May 3, 2007 Please, i did NOT ask if a cub is good for trails, i know n cub is a horrible trail motor, i think everyone knows that by now. I want to know if they make much less power than a stock banshee cylinder with no porting at the bottom to mid. I am browsing the web with a mobile, so i dont get that much answers when searching with my mobile. Thanks. Quote
dajogejr Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 They have no bottom and hardly any mid...it is worse, WAY worse than a stock cylinder. In the same threads you read it is a terrible trail motor...the reasons being for that were listed too...no bottom, no mid...and a WHOLE LOT OF POWER right now, like a light switch.... Quote
dajogejr Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 Reading Banshee HQ on a mobile. You sir are my hero...that's awesome bro!!! Quote
Animalman294 Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 I totally agree with Loco, Bigboy and dajogejr on the light switch power band, because when it hits the pipe your ass better be planted. I have to say though, that because I couldn't get the jetting quite dialed in (because of reasons I found out later) but I just putted around like I was still breaking in hte motor. I personally didn't notice to much of a difference between stock low end and mid from the set-up now. But, a BIG but, I am also runnin' 35's, with T-5's and not shearers or CPI's which I now makes a hell of a difference on a cub motor. With this set-up I'm sayin' that I didn't notice much difference, but I talked to others that run better pipes and carbs and there is a lot of difference. So, if you are going drag pipes and all that, definately listen to the other guys on that, because they run them and know the difference. But with what I'm runnin', that is my observation, and who knows when I get the other issues figured out my current set-up may act different. Not starting an arguement, just my .02...................
