I have been calling around to every shop and all they have is some stuff called 3 bond. One guy told me they dont make yamabond anymore. Is this 3 bond stuff just as good. I think the one guy was bullshittin when he said that they dont make it anymore because you can get it on ebay. Quote
theshee Posted April 27, 2007 Report Posted April 27, 2007 Thats horseshit that he told you they quit making it... I bought some yamabond a week ago. Call a Yamaha dealership and they will have it. They dont have to be a local shop either, they will ship stuff to you. Just make sure you wait and get yamabond and not use orange RTV. It doesnt seal up as good as yamabond. Quote

I used yellow tube of stuff that Jeff@FAST sent me....might have been 3 bond, not sure. Wasn't "Yamabond" but had to be as good or he wouldn't have sent it. Quote

I must have called like 12 shops today 3 of them being yamaha dealers in different citys like 20 min to 30 mins away from me and they all had the same shit 3 bond. If I cant find anything by saturday looks like I will be letting you fellas know how the 3 bond holds up. I dont have time to order any yamabond WALLACE84 is going to help me put this beast back together saturday so that doesnt give me to much time to order any. I guess I procrastinated to long getting this damn yamabond I dint know it was going to be this hard to find :: Quote

It is MUCH nicer to work with and not as stringy as the other two. We keep it on hand but would be hard to get it to you on sat. now that it is Fri. morning. If you can get it local go with it. Quote
