dieseltwitch Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 Ok guys so heres my problem, my #1 Lower Rod Bearing let loss and gouged the bottom of the crank case nicely! im planing on puting a +4 mm stroker but i have never done this before. do i need to get the crank chase machined to accepet these parts? Im guessing that with a +4 crank that i will have to take off 2mm all the way around on the sides? am i wrong? help me! Quote

You need a spacer plate, or custom domes and 795 series pistons. Quote

2004LEBanshee Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 To be honest I would think you would be ok just sanding that out by hand. As long as there was no wear where the bearings and seals sit I dont see a problem. I assume you are talkin about the scratching where the rod bottom are at. Maybe someone else can help better but I bet your ok Quote
Shee-Male Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 ...as common as beat up factory domes. Go ahead & install your crank, the galing won't make one bit of differance. Quote
dieseltwitch Posted April 15, 2007 Author Report Posted April 15, 2007 Yeah is rigth where the con rod is. the lower con rod let go and gouges it up, the dropletts are just watter. and i dug most of the baring metal out Quote
