  1. I got a WORKING! 600R motor for 100$ the bike crashed and tore the front end off but the motor still runs just fine. no damage at all. I want to mount it in a Shee frame i have. i just want to see what other people have done. searching for street bike motors in banshee frames doesnt bring up much on Google. so you just wondering what other people have done. my biggest questions are..... How to route the EXH and how to fix up the swing arm mount. just another one of my never ending projects. I just noticed i have it the topic listed at YFZ600R it should be YZF600R sorry guys
  2. I did this on 2 of the studs and they came right out others i just striped the threads right off hey guys thanks for the advice i'm gona try it today and see what works, thanks again
  3. I dont really understand what you where saying i think you where talking about having the piston running into the head. but i not really sure. a bit hard to understand what you where saying. as for the grove porting i just didn't know what it was really called at the time so i just kind of jumbled some word together and called it good
  4. Sounds like no matter what carnage will insue! o well!
  5. I've tried and tried to get both the front and rear motor mounts out on the upper case, short of drilling them out how do you get them out? they are dry rotted and need to be replaced
  6. Cool thank you for the heads up
  7. Yeah is rigth where the con rod is. the lower con rod let go and gouges it up, the dropletts are just watter. and i dug most of the baring metal out
  8. I'm going over and rebuilding the motor. its been sitting for 2 yrs and a lot of the stuff is rusted out. that and now i have no way around it! thanks for the advice. all i have is a cutting torch with a brazing tip that i will run as low as possible
  9. Ok so i got some of the studs that hold the cylinders down out but others just wont move. any ideas! i've been using vice grips. i even ground down flats to get a better hold and nothing!
  10. so what do i do about the heave gouging of the crank case
  11. Ok guys so heres my problem, my #1 Lower Rod Bearing let loss and gouged the bottom of the crank case nicely! im planing on puting a +4 mm stroker but i have never done this before. do i need to get the crank chase machined to accepet these parts? Im guessing that with a +4 crank that i will have to take off 2mm all the way around on the sides? am i wrong? help me!
  12. not that your wrong but why does trinity suck so bad! you get burned?
  13. It was well over a year ago when i read the arctical about the style of proting as i remember it, he talked about how the frame front was able to prgress to the squash band faster and. or somthing. i know it had nothing to do with fuel atamization. also im working on finding parts for my motor. and you say that trinity sucks ass... what about the cheetah cylinders are they made my trinity or just sold by them. I was thinking about going with the 421cc kit (4+mm) any thoughts
  14. http://www.trinityracing.com/products/yama...heeheadmod.html here is kind of what im talking about, the one i saw had deeper groves and they didnt coil out. they where straint and alot deeper! think this is a lot of BS or what do you guy thing?
  15. I remeber a while back hearing about a style of cuting into the domes to alow the frame front to move from through the squash zone.... not sure if my wording is right here. the one i saw was on a RM125 head. any one else seen or heard about this
  16. Cool thank you very much. i've been doing alot with weight transfer calculation but not having a built bike to work with it makeing it a bit harder! but again thank you!
  17. ummm there is no vacuum system in the shee? well besides the one that sucks fuel and air in the motor!
  18. Nice its always the small stuff!
  19. No no i AM doin the Sus. and doin a few other things. but for the most part i just need help on the engine! thanks on the swing arm advice i was pondering how far to go out. one thing i did have a question on was as you push the swing arm out the back you start to losse traction dont you? the whole lever thing! is 4 out the best IYO?
  20. Hey every one a bit new here so i took some time and did some looking before i decided to post this. So i bought a banshee back in 2000, rode it for a year and blew the crank on it. then i went into the army and haven't had any time to do any thing with it, well i just got out and started to tear it down. now im wondering where to start to build a good bike. not too worried about the susp. or the frame just the motor! There are a few things i do know..... I HATE CARBS! - Going EFI! i want good power but more so reliability! i've been looking at the 400cc Cheetah kit. any good. i need advice on cranks types. heads, porting, ignition, bla bla bla..... Im not new to quads nor rebuilding. Im building a Supercharged YFZ500cc EFI and have worked on other 2 strokes such as a 800cc SX-R Jet Ski and a few snowmobiles here and there. im not an expert by any means but i do understand the 2 stroke theory mostly i've worked on thumpers but i like to have more then one toy! Thank you guys for any help you have. PS. I ride dune (not really draging alot) mtn trail, & snow. hope that help
