christ6 Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 just pressure tested my new rebuilt motor .40 over with prolites and a hotrod crank, got 125psi each side, would i be able to bump one more size with the domes and keep running pump gas? Quote
EastCoast Banshee Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 is the motor fully broken in yet? Quote
derfnigel Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 you should be able to run premium up to about 160 psi Quote
christ6 Posted April 13, 2007 Author Report Posted April 13, 2007 yea i would say she is fully broken in now, how much mroe compression am i lookign at going one step smaller domes (20cc) or would i be able to run more than that without needing to switch from pump gas? Quote

Whats your elevation? ya thats what i was wondering, cant remember i think stock is 120 or so, my elevation is near sea level, few hundred feet above at most, also when doing a compression test do you do it warm or cold? i did it cold Quote
. Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 I wouldnt go to much higher on the compression if you still have the stock crank in there and its not welded. I went to 19's and was around 150 or so and it started tearing my top ends apart. Quote
