so the little lady finaly gave my the thumbs up to build my banshee. all i have to do is buy her a new crf450..but now the question is what to do with the build.. so im looking for ideas and what not for this fun little project.. i ride 80% sand (glamis) and 20 desert racing (baja type races) so come on guys start throwing out some ideas for me.. the only thing i know for sure that i want is a fast fast fast yet reliable motor. i have the suspension on order already so now its motor time..

thats cool man.. uhh, has your wife or you ever ridden a crf450?? those bikes have a TON of power.

as for your build, id say if you do a lot of fast riding go with a 4mm cub. if youre more into cruising around then just have your stock cylinders ported.

Since you are in El Cajon, as am I, I recommend you go to herrjugsracing. I've gotten my motor built by him (twice) and he can create some serious power. His prices are the lowest you'll find and nobody will spend more time on porting your motor then he will for the price you will pay. Not only is he a great builder, he will go out of his way to make sure you get what ever it is that you need and will even meet you in the desert and help you tune your bike if needed. He is local, in San Marcos. His name is Kevin and I would seriously talk to him before you talk to anyone else. Check out his web site www.herrjugsracing.com and give him a call!

oh yeah she wanted the ktm 525 but im not spending 10k on another bike. she loves the crf 450 though. she rides my brothers all the time and then is upset when she gets back on her 250f..

and yes i do need her permission to build a new motor and i will admit that untill the cows come home.. just like she would need my permission to build her bike., we have the perfect relationship because we COMMUNICATE..and because of that we never have had 0ne fight, and we both always end up getting what we want. i asked her 6 months ago about this build and she asked me to wait it out a bit. now she just gave me a budget of $3,500 to build a motor and $2,000 for suspension. but she wants a crf 450, so i build the banshee up we save money and get her a 450 we both get what we want and we are both happy..WIN WIN SITUATION..

Did you call Kevin yet at Herr Jugs Racing? Trust me, give him a call, as well as anyone else who is thinking about building your motor!
