fox_forma Posted April 11, 2007 Report Posted April 11, 2007 (edited) Just thought I would see if anyone is interested. I purchased an 86 350x 3 wheeler with the intentions of restoring it but came to the realization it isnt going to happen. I am moving to AZ in a month and have no room for it on the trailer so it has to be left behind. Now it needs work, nothing to serious but little stuff here and there. When I first picked it up everything was loose. The head wasnt torqued down and it spit oil all over the place. I re-torqued that down and now it blows a little smoke on start up. I think it may just be the gaskets and possibly the o-ring for the decomp lever. I adjusted the valves so everything is in spec now. It has a ton of compression so I'm sure the top end is strong. The frame is straight with no breaks as far as I can tell. Good tires all around. It def needs plastics and a seat, they are all stitched up. Rear brakes work fine, but the fronts need a new master cylinder. It needs nuts and bolts as well here and there. For someone who knows these bikes, it should be easy to fix up, like I said I just dont have the time to mess with it now. Ask any questions, bill of sale only. The bike does run and start up fine, I just wouldnt take it on any big rides, I ripped around my yard for a little here and there and thats about it. Could use a new clutch cable as the one is pretty used up thats in it now. The clutch itself is fine though Asking 900obo Located in Lower Bucks County, outside Philly Pa Edited April 11, 2007 by fox_forma Quote
fox_forma Posted April 12, 2007 Author Report Posted April 12, 2007 no interest in a classic? Doesnt need much money to make it look good again. Quote
fox_forma Posted April 13, 2007 Author Report Posted April 13, 2007 i would but truthfully I never did that before plus I dont really have a lot of time on my hands to deal with it since I am moving out west in less than a month. Quote
fox_forma Posted May 1, 2007 Author Report Posted May 1, 2007 $650 firm if anyone wants it. I have taken days off of work for people who say they are coming to pick it up only for them to not show up. I would love this thing to be taken off my hands before I leave for AZ next week Quote

Most of the time you can't get a running 350X for less than $1k. Quote
fox_forma Posted May 1, 2007 Author Report Posted May 1, 2007 yeah I'm tired of people wasting my time, they always say they can only pick it up during the week so i take a day off, they never show, and then I dont hear from them. I already lost a few days pay because of the crap so I would just like to take the hit and get it gone. Quote

That was awful nice of you to take a day off so they could come get it though. Quote

I dont start loading up until next week. Also I am leaving the 10th at night so I may be through Ohio at a bad time for you cause it will prob be early AM hours. Quote

The 10th would work, I'm leaving for hatfield on the 13th. If it's not gone by then, let me know. Do you have a title, or will you give a bill of sale? Let me know and thanks. Quote
fox_forma Posted May 3, 2007 Author Report Posted May 3, 2007 I have a bill of sale somewhere, no title as I'm really not sure what happened to it. I'm still mapping out my route out west so its either I will be going through OH, or I will be taking I40W all the way out which will put me in the southern route Quote
CFM Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 I have a bill of sale somewhere, no title as I'm really not sure what happened to it. I'm still mapping out my route out west so its either I will be going through OH, or I will be taking I40W all the way out which will put me in the southern route I grew up in King of Prussia area and did a trip like yours a couple years ago. Took the southern route out, and the straight line (think it was 70) through the middle on the way back. Anyway, my point was that it's (in my oppinion) alot nicer doing the southern route (40). More scenery, the Hoover dam, AZ, etc.. I enjoyed it alot more. When you take the straight line, you are basically sleeping at the wheel for 3 days straight... I caught myself bieng "zoned out" too much, and not paying attention to the road. Plus, 2/3 of the country on that route is nothing, just fields and cows, etc.. You're gonna be in the car awhile, make it worth it and have some fun with it , some of the coolest memories I have are from my trip and the drive out there (Santa Monica) Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 Are you going to end up traveling thru the 10 fwy? It's a good long stretch from Cali to Az & man it gets boaring thru that desert drive. Take the 8 fwy entrance thru Yuma so you can cruise thru Glamis  Be prepared for the heat, it gets hot there! Quote
