Not sure why you are geared that much lower than stock but I run a 15-42 in sand w/compareable power. If you don't want to get rid of your 45 rear get a 16 for the front. Will be close to the same gear ratio.

I am at 15-44 right now and am going to 15-45 when my new sproket gets here. I like how it runs the little ive ridden it.

I'd be thinking about 16/41 or 42.

Especially if you're running pavement (1/8 or 1/4 I presume)

May also want to think about a wheelie bar, and play with the air pressure as well.

You are using street slicks, right? With that motor and knobbies, you're gonna be spinning on pavement no matter what you do till 3rd gear.....

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'am running on cement and at the dunes and the ice in the winter. My builder told me to go with a 15/39 set up. Going to try it. I also have 15/41 and 15/45 what do you guys think out of my 3 choices would be all around best fit.

keep in mind that your tire heigth will change your over all gearing. use the chart that loco posted and you'll get what i'm saying. if you have 15/41 already i would try it first. the problem is that you'll be running on three different surfaces with (most likely) three different types of tires. so each surface and tire combo will most likely prefer a different ratio. it's about trial and error, you may find a "sweet spot" gear ratio that you'll be happy with in the different terrains that you'll be riding.
