crbanshee Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 ok so i had my carbs cleaned out by a shop i was refered to by a friend. when the bike came home the throttle was stuck wide open, i have a twist throttle and it would not snap back to the off position (for lack of a better term) so i pulled the carbs and noticed one of the slides was not shutting the little groove in the slide was off othe tab it slides on. so i got it taken care of and the throttle now closes and works like normal but i hear this sucking air sound now? it sounds like its comming from the carb somewhere, but its hard to tell because the airbox is right there to it doesnt sound like that deep sucking sound you get from the air filter, any ideas on what to check or where to start to figure out where and why it might be sounding like the carb is sucking air??? ohhhhhh and they are the stock carbs, no mods except the new caps for the twist throttle assembly Quote
man27 Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 Start the bike let it idle spray starting fluid on the carbs and the boots!!!! Quote
Dinner Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 Could be cracks in your boots, or your intakes(around the cross over tube) Quote
