dajogejr Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 home depot it is is there a certain way to do this Sorry...I should've added, remove the paper backing, cut it away. Easiest way to cut insulation is smoosh it onto the ground, and use a blade. Then remove the paper by cutting or peeling. Pack what you need... Quote
highroller355 Posted March 12, 2007 Author Report Posted March 12, 2007 good looking out guy thanks Quote
DGFUNNY70 Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 Second that on good snap ring plyers you'll need them the cheap ones will not do. Quote
96_banshee_96 Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 This sounds like a good idea. I am planning on repacking my toomeys but How far do I cram the packing in and how much do I use? Quote
Dark Ranger Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 Damn, I keep forgetting to repack mine. I have had them for 7 - 8 years and have never repacked them. Maybe I'll just take the packing out since I also have the Hush Kit. Quote
Bikeatrol Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 Looked everywhere for Pink Panther insulation. No one seems to carry it anymore so I got some regular ol' yellow household insulation. Will this work?? Quote

Bikeatrol Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 Any home pink insulation will work...owens/coning, etc...Just remove the paper. Thanks for the reply. It is standard home fiberglss insulation but it is yellow. I'll remove the paper backing and try it. They had no pink insulation at all. Checked Home Depot, Lowes, Wal-mart. I assume it doesn't have to be pink?? Quote
