06BaNsHeE Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 I justed switched from CPI to Shearers and the only thing I regret is that my CPIs were quieter IMO. Quote

Yeah you have to have silencers on them. 87db is the limit. Quote
letsgetthisdone Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 Th decbil limit on the oregon coast is 93db, i was there summer '06 and they had hella checkpoints so make sure you're at 93db or below  Quote

I could be wrong, Haven't been there is several years, Quote
sheefreak Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 You'll never make it w/the CPI silencers. I got checked twice last year and both times I was at 106db. I don't even think the cascade silencers will get you there. Quote
cam2 Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 why are they concerned with decibel levels in the dunes? i can see people being concerned about it in smaller confined areas. Quote
BigRed350x Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 Come ride wyoming... the wind blows all the sound over to nebraska before you can even hear whats going on. :yelrotflmao: Quote
enFORCER Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 LOL, yep I never heard CPI and quiet pipes used in the same sentence. Quote

I Oregon people built houses near the dune areas and then decided to get pissed off that there was noise coming from them. :shoothead: Quote
BigRed350x Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 I'd have to say that my CPI pipes are some of the loudest pipes I've owned. The shearers aren't too bad, but I just re-packed them not too long ago. Quote
fast500#12 Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 you couldn't hear my buddies cpi's over my dmc 916's and he said he couldbearly hear his bike when i was infront of him. i think i need to repack but the have always been loud 100+ dbs. Quote
