does anyone know if cpi iinframe pipes need silencers for oregon coast riding? i dont know what the decibel rating is on them and dont want to leave extra moola in that state for loud pipes.

don't know bout oregon but they are one of the loudest in frame pipes. imo

Yeah you have to have silencers on them. 87db is the limit. :thumbsup:

Th decbil limit on the oregon coast is 93db, i was there summer '06 and they had hella checkpoints so make sure you're at 93db or below :thumbsup:

 

You might want to double check that figure as I think they lowered to 89db and had plans to lower it to 87db. I could be wrong, Haven't been there is several years, :thumbsup:

why are they concerned with decibel levels in the dunes? i can see people being concerned about it in smaller confined areas.

I Oregon people built houses near the dune areas and then decided to get pissed off that there was noise coming from them. :shoothead:

I'd have to say that my CPI pipes are some of the loudest pipes I've owned. The shearers aren't too bad, but I just re-packed them not too long ago.

you couldn't hear my buddies cpi's over my dmc 916's and he said he couldbearly hear his bike when i was infront of him. i think i need to repack but the have always been loud 100+ dbs.
