hey i was wondering where or what other bikes had carbs that could be used on the shee. i was looking around in the junk yard and there's a few 80cc-85cc bikes that has 28mm carbs 125cc bikes and a few polaris sleds that use the 30mm carbs. i was thinking about getting a set to use on the RZ project but was shore about it. i know if it can be done the jets would have to be changed but other then what do you guys think or what have you used.

some of the sleds have a cable choke that could be set under the seat or something.

dont forget you can always get your stock carb's bored pretty cheap you bought that motor from bansheecub (howie) right

yea great guy... i was told it would be better to run banshee carbs because there setup for oil injection. if i could keep these carbs then that would be great.

where could i send them out to get bored? i think i read they can go out to 27.5mm doing this but never mentioned where they were done.

There are tons of bikes out there that use the PJ and PWK series of carbs in all different sizes. They can often be picked up cheaply also. Depending on how it's setup though, you may have to change slide, needle, main, and pilot.

I have also wondered this, cause I have a sled shop around me with loads of old and new sleds, so I could pick up a set of carbs for cheap  I was thinking maybe some 28's if i could find some good ones that I think would work.

if you can find out what ones come with the 28mm it should work. i would think the needles an jets would need to be changed.

how would you measure the diameter the stock boot sizes? on the yz85 carb the engine side is 28mm I.D. 35MM O.D. / air cleaner side- 50mm O.D.
