Satsol67 Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 Hey guys I have someone that wants to buy my shee but he is in CA. Who would I call about shipping to him? He said he talked to some company and they wanted 990 bucks. Does that seem right? I thought it was like 4 to 5 hundred bucks. Thanks, Ron Quote
Handyman Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 I saw in a ATV magazine an add for a company that ships ATV's and dirtbikes for a fairly good pirce....Sid that that had been in business for like 15 years or so...and it was cheaper than $900 Quote
yfzdunejumper Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 I get a big discount and I shipped a shee from NC to me here in MO last year and it was $177. I used yellow freight but again we have a 77% discount. Call yellow or whatever LTL company is big around you. You could also call someplace like freightquotes.com and ask then about a partial flatbed. Sometimes they are looking to fill a load and are happy to make an extra couple hundred.... Good luck if you want me to look up a freight quote pm me your zip and his. But that won't be with my discount because it would need to come to me.....I think.... Long story shortened $900 for someone that never ships is about right. Quote
Satsol67 Posted February 14, 2007 Author Report Posted February 14, 2007 I sent the guy an email finding out his zip code. There are a few carriers around me. Overnight, Yellow, R&L with others I'm sure. Thanks, Ron Quote
sheefreak Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 The place that Daj suggested is sweet. Between $600 and $700 and they come right to your house or wherever you are shipping from and take it directly to the recieving party. Don't have to crate or drain Fluids. You may find a cheaper rate, but not w/this good of service and convenience. Here is a link directly to the ATV page w/prices and details. http://www.motorcycleshippers.com/s_shipping_atv.htm I have also heard Greyhound will ship them pretty cheap, but have never used them. May want to give them a call. Quote
Satsol67 Posted February 14, 2007 Author Report Posted February 14, 2007 Yes I am looking into them. Thank you, Ron Quote

I had a snowmobile tunnel shipped to me for a buddy (computer illiterate) and it was damn near too big... Quote

I had a bike shipped from Texas last year, and I think it was right at $400 through Forward Air. For a crate, just grab 2 pallets and tie them together with a 2X4. Then, I think you can use 1/2 plywood or pressboard for the rest of the box, just frame it in with some 2X4's. Pretty simple, and that way you don't have to reserve and wait for one of their crates. He dropped it off on a Friday, and I picked it up the following Wednesday. Quote
firefighterjosh Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 Just jumping in for the subscription. I might be shipping a quad soon as well Quote
sgt seth Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 I had a banshee shipped from Green Bay Wis to Central Maine and it was approximately 600 bones. I used roadway.com they had okay shipping deals, had to drain all the fluids and the normal shit. Quote
