I rerouted my overflow line to my handguards since I don't use a coolant bottle. Alot of gncc riders do this to let them know if they're running hot when they're riding hard for extended periods of time or tight stuff too. Just thought this might be useful for a few others that do the same type of riding.

I like the idea, but the thought of hot coolant being blown back on me doesn't sound great.

Worst case it's probably only 240 degrees F. Water that hot just tickles, I swear.

LOL so now if it gets hot, not only will you be able to see it, but it will burn your hand to let you know as well. :yelrotflmao:

Since you already know everything I'm probably wasting my breath, but everytime coolant has discharged from the line on my bike it blows out pretty hard and will easily clear the bars. Think about this...at high speeds your bike is pumping the coolant well so you have less of a chance of it overheating. Tight trails are alot slower, so your more likely to overheat and you're not traveling as fast so it's probably not going to blow back on you. This is used by alot of xc riders (I've already stated that) so obviously it's working for others. Do what you want with your bike but alot of others can do without the shit talk all the time.

Yeah, I agree, ever cut a radiator line by accident? Or take off the radiator cap when you werent supposed to? Fuckin' water blows out pretty far, I think this is a god mod. Just wondering though, you did away with the coolant overflow right? I'm still in love with that bike, think it's gonna be my inspiration when I build mine. Probably keeping my fenders though.

Thanks bro, and yeah it doesn't have the coolant bottle. The fenders really aren't that bad cut, since the front and rear are widened the tires stick out past the fenders anyway. I'm thinking about a minus swinger too, let me know how yours works out.
