BenBB Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 Clymer is good, it's prolly helped all of us at one time or another. It may or may not tell ya some things like turning the gas off first heh, but just take your time and you'll be fine... Quote
bigdaddy69 Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 There aint nothin to it, other then gettin in there and doin it. click here scroll about 3/4 of the way down, there pics of the inside of the carb to give you an idea. some good reading on that page also. good luck and dont worry if you do happen to screw something up....thats what were here for. chevy7398 Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 also its a sfe bet to do one at a time so you dont get the slides or bowls or anything mixed up Quote
fastrthnu Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 just remember to put it together the way it was before you took it apart. do one at a time so you have a referal off the other, make sure the slides are in right, make sure your floats are set at the right height, and I dont have a clymers so I dont know what it sez and doesnt. I like to feeler guage set my idle screw setting under the slide so I can turn them in or out even turns, and sync em right when yer done. and watch the threads on the tors/throttle caps. really easy so put on crooked and really east to strip out. and clean all the boots n filter before putting them back on too. MotulMonsta Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Have plenty of room on your work bench and use a clean white sheet to cover the work bench top and to allow you to easily see all the little parts. Keep both carbs seperate, do them one at a time and don't mix the parts. Quote
