I noticed today I never bolted the stays to the bottom of my motor. What purpose do those serve anyways? They dont seem like they`d do anything.

I would keep them. They do actually help the motor keep from twistin real hard in the frame. The more hp you run, the more important they become. If your motor twists too much it is possible to throw a perfectly adjusted chain.

The 4mil engine in my red banshee will actually twist the chasis a little tiny bit when you rev on it and its in neutral. I would hate to see what it would do without all the mounts in place.

It is kinda like before I put subframe and g-load braces under my 93 mustang. The more power I made with the engine the tighter the driver side seat got to the tranny tunnel under the floor. The uni-body car was twisting itself into a pretzel with all the power the motor was puttin' to the rears..............

Put them back on.................
