Bansh-eman Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 first off if you have any porting on that motor you should look at some bigger carbs... those stocker are choking your motor.... now, when you say at 1/4 it deis... you mean that if your at idle and pin it ? or you can ride around and move up on the throttle and once you get past 1/4 it bogs out? mine was like that when i changed my carbs and it was the flaot heigth.... check your float needle and make sure its seating all the way... that would be my first thing to check... highroller355 Posted January 9, 2007 Author Report Posted January 9, 2007 (edited) i have a set of 33 pwk's but alot of people said i would lose alot of bottom end and i wanna keep my air box alot of port work Edited January 9, 2007 by highroller355 Quote
odaen Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 Unplug your TORS module. It sits right in front of your fuel petcock mounted to your frame. Quote
highroller355 Posted January 9, 2007 Author Report Posted January 9, 2007 im sorry the tors were never hooked upeven on the other set and it ran good these carbs just have the tors eliminator kit on it so gave me more space but diffrent needle and pilot and they dont leak but they dont run either lol Quote
FredMW Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 Check your old carbs, with the mods you list i would think the mains would be about 360 not 300. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 so did this happen after you put the 33 PWK's on your bike or did you have them on before and it ran fine? Quote
highroller355 Posted January 10, 2007 Author Report Posted January 10, 2007 never had the 33 on only the stocks with the tors but the tors not hooked up with 300 jet and 25 pilot know i have stock with tors eliminator after market needle not sure wich one but the needle is red 300 main and 30 pilotit will idle fine 0 -1/4 throttle in nuetral sounds like shit after that sounds great in gear it just wants to stall the second you start letting the clutch out Quote
CMAC Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 I have vitos stock after market needles. There red and quite a bit longer than the mikuni needles. Quote
moneybags Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Did you try to play with your air screws? I could not believe how much a differents it made on my Banshee. With just 1/2 a turn. It just fell on its face at take off. Make sure that you give them time to take effect when you turn them. Quote
ohiobanshee Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Try changing your pilots from 30's to the 25's. Quote
highroller355 Posted January 10, 2007 Author Report Posted January 10, 2007 Try changing your pilots from 30's to the 25's. put the stock needles back in put the 25 pilot back in 300 main jet same as the original set up that was running this weekend had it running once shitty low rpm after the bog or stumble it jumped on the rear tires and took off like a sun of a bitch but hasnt started since it will start and idle for a couple sec then thats it plugs look great Quote
Bansh-eman Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 and all of your tors and ebreak is unplugs and removed? its sound like a combo of carbs and electrical... everytime i get ready to say check something electrical you start saying differant signs of carbs... and vice versa... and it used to run fine and just started this? you havent put a new head or anything that may casue a leak? highroller355 Posted January 10, 2007 Author Report Posted January 10, 2007 i think the carbs are bad what about running my 33 pwk,s with my air box and just running big rubber hose from the carb to the air box with a pro flow set up with uni filter Quote
