I live in Covina, and ride almost exclusivly at Glamis. I would like to learn more about some of the closer riding areas though.

You are only about 2 1/2 hours from Dumont... Give that place a try... The dunes are a little bigger and steeper, but the riding area is smaller. If you drag, you'll love this place.

You are also about 3 1/2 hours from Pismo... If you are in need of a sand fix during the summer, this is the place to go and tool around. Not much of a riding area, but it sooth the burn of some sand.

You must drive pretty damn fast. I do 2.5 hours to dumont from Victorville. I ride at Dumont, Glamis, Stoddard wells, and El Mirage. Stoddard wells over el mirage.

It was more or less a guess... LOL Takes me an hour and a half just to get to Victorville!

I'm from barstow, ca, but I'm in the navy and stationed in san diego, I go to dumont a lot because I ride with my pops and my other family and friends, we love to hill shoot at comp hill and dune all the way to the north pole!!! I haven't been to glamis since being stationed in san d but my brother just bought an 06 shee and he is getting stationed in san d also so him and I'll probably take a trip soon to glamis, but I really like dumont! I was last at dumont on the 26th of december

Yeah, but that's a f'n small ass area up Azusa Cny. Covina ain't a bad drive to several spots. Texas Cny, Stoddard and El Mirage are all about 60 miles away.

We used to go to Azusa Cyn not only for some atv riding but for some 4x4 action & mud wamping.

And there's enough action going on there [if you like that off road stuff] to keep ya busy.. even though it's small area.

Hey Bada, I thought Oxnard had some dirt to ride on out there? Nothing in Simi Valley??

Pismo sounds good, but I don't like the idea of salt water and my shee...........

It's not that bad! We don't park all water front like some of the crazies... I like to go a little further in. I never ride through the water.
