JoshWht Posted December 26, 2006 Report Posted December 26, 2006 I have an 88 Banshee that is in good condition, but probably needs the top end freshened up. I am contemplating selling it and was wondering how much it would be worth. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, - Josh Quote

Also, I can't 100% tell, but from the pic it looks mostly stock with pipes and a graphics kit. Maybe you have reeds or something too. A bike like that would probably fetch around 1100-1400 in good shape, in the north east. Banshees arent in demand around here. Out west you might be able to get more. I bought a running 2002 for 1100 in good shape(but this was a good deal), just to give you an idea. Quote

Thanks, - Josh Josh...if you listed ALL the mods done to it, as well as some pics, that would help judge value. As said, they're worth a lot more on the west coast than east coast. Also..if you have the time and patience, parting out via forums and ebay is the way to make money.... Quote
seabass Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 Post it when you figure what your asking. I know someone that may be interested for the right price. List mods and some pictures. I'm from Mass. also. Quote

LiftdT4R Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 DAMN for a 2002 You can easily get 2000.You just got a crazy deal. Can't get near 2000 out here on the east coast. It's the 2002 listed in my sig. I bought it minus the IMS tank, and AC nerfs. You want it for 1800? Come and get it. I'd be happy if I saw 1600 for it. I'll be selling/trading/parting it for sure in the spring. Big difference from east and west coast. Most guys use these bikes for dunes and drags, don't really have any dunes, or very many drags out here. The YFZs go for more here along the most other 4 strokes. Quote

JoshWht Posted December 27, 2006 Author Report Posted December 27, 2006 Well, thanks for the feedback. The machine is mainly stock, so there is not a lot of added value. I like it, but as was mentioned there is not a real lot of good areas around here. I am looking to get a 4 wheel drive like all of my friends have. The Banshee is not built for the kind of riding around here, although it is a real fun machine. If I can't even get close to $1000 for it I will probably just keep it. Thanks again, - Josh Quote
blazinlow Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 yea the east coast is hard to sell a banshee.mines not stock got carbs nurfs, skid plates, cool head, nology coil and wires,4 degree plate, pipes and itp rims with razor tires but still u cant get your money over here.expecially for a j arm shee.and 2 g's was for my bike that runs very well and starts on second kick or less every time! hard to find with a shee in the cold Quote

LiftdT4R Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 (edited) Sorry dude, even half way is a little longer then I'd wanna drive. I'm not that anxious to get rid of it. In the rare event that we get snow here this winter, I might need it. Edited December 30, 2006 by LiftdT4R Quote
Barrymaxx Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 One thing I find with the banshees and blasters is that basic mods dont add much value, and dont take away much either. A piped blaster might go for 1300 and the same bike w/ a stock pipe mihgt go for 1250. But you can now ebay that pipe for 100 to 150. A little more work but you can make a few extra bucks. Quote
