Dinner Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 (edited) So the last little while, probably ever since the winter has started, my compression just didn't seem to be as good as it once was. It would take more kicks to start, etc. When i painted my cylinders and head back in the summer i remember my domes being all scratched up, nicked, and a little whole in each dome. All the nicks, etc were from the old top-end that was in there, so i new what those were from. Not to long ago i purchased a Used Stock Head from a fellow HQ'r  and i finally got around to switching them today. Once getting everything torqued down, i pushed on the kicker with just my hand, and there is a lot more compression there than before. So i'm quite excited about that  So now i just need to attach all the hoses, re-jet for the colder weather, and take her out for a rip. I was hoping it wasn't my top-end just because i had that done not too long ago, and my cylinder walls are still shiney with a little bit of carbon built up on top of the pistons  So once i get everything put together i'm going to take a compression test and see what it is at. I'm just happy that i don't have to buy new top-end stuff right now, and i can just spend $20 on a Cylinder Head  Moral Is: It doesnt hurt to check your Cylinder Head everynow and then, and replacing if need be :yelrotflmao: And i have a question, what is that white thing under your front sprocket? Thanks Dinner Edited December 24, 2006 by Dinner Quote

Dinner Posted December 25, 2006 Author Report Posted December 25, 2006 It's the neutral switch cover. It seems to be leaking a bit of oil from behind there. Is there a gasket behind it? Dinner Quote
