TEMP.GAUGE TEE ?

I want to install a temp gauge , I can`t find one that will make a neat installation, I do NOT want something that looks crappy ! Any ideas ? Thanks for the help ! Milo_32000

I installed a temp guage recently, im still having problems with it though. Everything works ok I still have a small leak though....What I did was went to the lumber store and bought a 1/2 tee, found some 1/2 barbed fittings screwed that into the tee and spliced that into the hose coming from the head to the top of the radiator. Then I ran into another problem, the probe on my guage was going to be too long and restrict my flow. I then went on a search for a 1/2 fitting that was female one one side and male on the other....only thing i could find was a flare type fitting, so thats what i ended up with. I screwed the flare fitting into the tee then my guage probe into that and it gave me enough hight to not restrict my flow. The guage reads good, but its leaking around the flare fitting so i thik im goin to re do everything. for one because most everything I used was brass fittings which is really heavy, two it doesent look good, and three it leaks....do a search for temp guages, there are pictures around here somewhere

This might be a dumb question....but how does it install?

I run an ESR 250 Temp gauge on my raptor. It is a quality unit. The Fitting is billit aluminum, and the gauge is liquid filled to vibrations wont destroy the gauge

On my banshee I just used a brass t fitting. Two stubs of pipe to slice in line with the upper radiator hose, a real short stub and a Female to Female adaptor. You cant see it cuase it is tucked up by the coil.

the big line that goes to the rad under teh shroud with the 2 holes you mount it there.

 

works nice but you cant read it very well while riding.
