Bansh-eman Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 who all uses the lonestar axel nut? how tight can you get it before the little tool starts biteing into the nut and fuking up the aluminum? Quote
HotCarl Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 I couldn't get mine very tight, so I think I'm going to build a spanner like the hondas have. Quote
JET 99 Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 i got mine tight no end play or side to side i used blue loctite on threads of axle nut and on threads of tension screws never had to re-tighten them have checked several time, not any looseness for over a year. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted December 13, 2006 Author Report Posted December 13, 2006 iv seen the metal where the tool goes in at get all fuked up and bent from trying to tighten them down enough... Quote
JET 99 Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 i am not sure of the exact size but you could use a pin style spanner wrench. they make atleast 2 diff styles for outer diameter. one is pin style(round hole) the other is for notch style(groove). that might help with the extra support while trying to tighten.... mine has a little damage on the edges of the two holes i used while tightening..... it aint a perfect world. Shee-Male Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 Not worried about the little scratches...it happens, and the first sharp rock is gonna make it way worse I used the same adjustment wrench for the shocks. Quote
