I personally like the CR's due to the way the frame is made and it's stronger. the KX, YZ and RM's have small round tubing and the CR have the oblong thinker material. Quote
LiftdT4R Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 I'm pretty sure now, all the bikes have aluminum frames, but Honda came out with it before Kawie, Yamaha and Suzuki. If your gonna go used, I know all the way back to at least 1998 CRs had the alumnum frames. I always buy used stuff because I'm cheap, so that's what I would do, I've never had a Honda bike before though, only Kawies and Yamahas. Quote

I just had to take the sub frame off and I had alot of room to work witrh. I rode a KX and a YZ and it felt like the frames would twist and bend while under full power and landing from jumps compared to my CR. It could have been my imagination though. Otherwise the KX and YZ were pretty good bikes. It also felt like the KX and YZ were a littel lighter too. Quote

racer Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 CR for sure, look who else rides it: RC, rides an RM now MC Ferry Vuillemin (sp?) Fonseca they have won they baja 1000 for like 20 straight years. If it has two wheels, youd better buy a Honda for the dirt. Quote

Nelsonmandela27 Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 i got an 03 RM250 with an fmf factory fatty and shorty silencer and it hauls man powerband starts pretty early and signs off late. i love when im doin like 50 and shift into fifth and the powerband kicks in and that front end gets light, oh man im gunna cream my pants i wanna ride it so bad but theres too much snow but anyways i like zooks (i got a 03 z400 too) so thats my .02 on the dirtbike sit Quote

Not to mention there motors are sick. Just my oppion though id deff. take a look at them also. Quote
