baddsheee Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 This guy at my job is yapping about taking me out. I really havn't said anything because this is a dirtbike and don't know what I'm up against. His is bone stock. My mods are in my sig. Just want to see what you guys think maybe I could throw in a little wager like have him buy the beer and food. Racing probably on hard dirt. In the desert. Quote
bansheefreak Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 ima guess you will lose... it might be closer if you hook up but i think he will win.. just a guess thou the proswill tell ya who they think will win.. Quote
bansheeseat$$ Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 I hate to say it but you will lose to him especially on hard pack.If the guy nose how to ride it you'll lose even worse.Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but hey you guy's can B/S after with a beer and food. Quote
RNBRAD Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 Your best chance is in the sand or on pavement. Traction is the key to beating a dirt bike and it won't happen in dirt or gravel. Quote

I agree for the most part. He doesn't even have to know how to ride, that bike is built around rider error. It really does make bad riders look good. You "shouldn't" win, not to say you won't, but you will have to hope he stands it up or does something stupid. Quote
CombatTalon2 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 I have a Banshee and a CRF450. My 450 has all the "free" mods (re jetted, air box opened up, baffle removed) You can see my banshee mods in my sig. Anyway, my 450 will walk my banshee on desert surfaces anyway. Dunes might be another story, but i have never raced my bike vs. my banshee in the dunes. I did however get beat racing up China wall by a 10 Mil Stroker Cub....but only by a bike length!! Quote
baddsheee Posted December 2, 2006 Author Report Posted December 2, 2006 This guy knows how to ride. Still gonna try it anyway. Doesn't hurt to try. Hey CombatTalon2, where did you get your carbs bored and did you notice a significant difference? Thanks. Quote
New02 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 You dont happen to work at UP in barstow do you? Are the guy with the 450's initials JH? Small world...just curious Quote
baddsheee Posted December 2, 2006 Author Report Posted December 2, 2006 Don't know what you mean by UP, but no I work for Disney. Do not work in Barstow, but will be riding there next Monday. And actually JH are my initials. Quote
New02 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 OH, I am originally from Victorville (Las Vegas now) and ride a banshee and a buddy (JH) is always racing me on his 450 (stock). My bike is pretty fast, but he always wins, sand, dirt, or street. UP=Union Pacific Quote
1.6i Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 Have a couple buddys with CRF 450's, ill go full throttle all out, they'll just pop a wheelie and be out lol Quote
racer Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 i think the point has been made, but that bike is real fuckin fast. especially if its an '07, they shit 'n git. Quote
Washburn Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 I thought a Banshee with a decent port would kill a 250 dirtbike and from what Ive heard the 450s arent that much faster than the 250s? Wrong? Quote
CombatTalon2 Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 Hey CombatTalon2, where did you get your carbs bored and did you notice a significant difference? Thanks. I never really rode the bike before Gary martin (quicksand motorsports) did the carbs. He said it would make a differance and it does run very good. Quote
3 Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 I ride all the time with guys on 450 dirtbike. I can keep up with them most of the time i would say, but in the bumps when they go on the gas i just loose them. Man that's frustrating, you do your best to hold on to the bike and they just blast past you on the rear wheel. Friend of mine is doing better with is drag porting. I think the stock suspension is what slow us down the most. Cant wait to upgrade that front end. Good luck man. Quote
