Handyman Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 I used the search and nothing came up besides powdercoating 101. I was waondering if anyone has used or heard about the Powdercoating gun kit by Craftsman. For $150 you can buy the kit. Gun is battery powered(I think). has all the necessary attachments etc. The different colors are $6 for 7 square feet. Jusat wondering if anyone has used this or not...It's on the Sears website as well as Craftsman website. Quote
csrmel Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 imo, eastwood has a better gun and kit and its only $100. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 what are you going to use to bake it with after you spray it? Quote
kaotik1 Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 You can use a regular convention oven to bake the parts with, though I would not suggest using it for food afterwards. Quote
csrmel Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 yes, look in newspapers for USED electric stove. you might even find one for free when people upgrade their kitchens and throw away the old stove. thats how i got mine, i found it. it needed a new element but that was $20 at home depot. kitchen stove is good enough and big enough to do wheels, suspension parts, handlebars, etc. you might even fit a stock swingarm in one. about the only thing you couldnt do is an entire frame. blacknred03 Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 After you PC'd in a oven it pretty much ruins it, trust me I found out the hard way Quote
dalegoldston Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 Eastwood is the way to go. You will need an air compressor to push the powder. Remember. clean clean clean. Quote
