Banshee_LE Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 Need a new clutch for the Shee, now i'm debating between EBC or Barnett, witch one do you guys think would be the best? My modds are pipe, filter, advance timing etc. Also my mecanic suggested to go with an EBC clutch with Barnett spring, would that be any good? Thanks Quote
Bansh-eman Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 get your self some FZR1000 fibers and stock steels... rough the steels up a little with some fine grit sand paper... run 3 stocks and 3 hd springs and youll be golden... Quote
dajogejr Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 Call Jeff @ FAST Racing. His clutch I think it about 10 bucks more than the box stock EBC or Barnett, and worlds better. With your motor, you can use 3HD springs and 3 stock springs, and I promise it won't slip or fade (as long as it's adjusted correctly) www.farmandsandtoys.com I ran his with similar mods you have now all last year, and I more than doubled the output of my motor by going to my 4 mil cub, it's still holding up just fine.... 87sheerips Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 Im running a tusk kit, like 35 bucks with HD springs. Its holding up just fine. Mods are in my sig. Quote
smkmupbanshee Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 I to would suggest a Tusk Clutch...I've ran barnets and EBC's and they just dont last compared to the tusk clutches from my expereience... Quote
banshee332 Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 I been running an ebc clutch for 2 years now with my 10mill with a lock up, no problems. Tusk clutch kits work good to. Quote

banshee332 Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 (edited) any clutch will hold up with a lockup... No shit I was just stateing what I run, I have run a tusk clutch kit in a 350 drag shee with out a lock up with no problems either. Edited November 16, 2006 by banshee332 Quote
Ducman Posted November 17, 2006 Report Posted November 17, 2006 I have been running the Barnett with the HD springs and I haven't had any clutch slip issues with my +4 mil cub motor. It would slip the stock clutch pretty easy on hard shifts. I think the key is the stiffer springs. They do make the clutch pull A LOT stiffer though. Lots of peeps on the HQ swear by the Fast kit though. You can find barnett for pretty cheap if you look around for a while on Fleebay. Quote
banshee332 Posted November 17, 2006 Report Posted November 17, 2006 You will be fine with ebc or the tusk kit, or just go by what Bansh-eman said that seems to be a good set up all so. Quote
