dtzalba450r Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 I have 2000 banshee that I recently purchased and this thing uses a lot of gas, I mean I could top it off and run one race about an 1/8 of a mile and its already about half an inch lower then the top of the tank. The other day I put nearly 3 gallons in it and went riding for about 20 mins when the bike died and I had to be towed back home. It has 34mm pwk, v-force reeds, boost bottle and some other stuff, what are your thoughts? Quote
fox_forma Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 you sure your not leaking gas from the carbs overflow tubes or anything while riding Quote
dtzalba450r Posted November 14, 2006 Author Report Posted November 14, 2006 It doesnt leak gas, so I dont know whats up. Quote
Geoff Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 A buddy had the same problem as you but he was running stock carrbs though......He traced it back to the problem, which was him working on it after a case of beer.......He had the slides in backwards, the cut goes towards the air filters if you didn't know. dtzalba450r Posted November 14, 2006 Author Report Posted November 14, 2006 I wish I drank, at least I'd have an excuse for the excessive gas consumption. The slides are in right, I already adjusted the floats and the same thing is still present. Quote
Animalman294 Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 Try this, plug up the overflow tubes and see if it still disappears fast. If it doesn't then you know it is your float assembly wiggin' out. Make sure you check your plugs too. If may be runnin' it through the motor because something is screwed up too............ Quote

It runs alright in the middle and top end but the lowend seems to break up some. I tried something earlier where I checked the coil for spark individually, I unplugged the left side and there was no spark while right side was on the plug, but when I did that to the right side there was spark. Is this normal? Quote
