All_Out_0606 Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 Ok i have my cases split on my 95 banshee, im puttin in a new crank, to make a long story short, i need to know how many of those C clips or whatever you want to call them, that line up the bearings inside the case. they are half moon jobbies, i didnt split my cases, my buddy did, and i didnt see how many there were, i went to put it back together tonight and i kno im missing one. But are there C clips that go on the bottom and top of the case(or bearing) so that they would make an "O"? or are they just on the botoom half of the case? im missin the C clip that goes on the small side of the mainshaft that has 2 shift forks holding it in place. addicted Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 anyone?? how many, and are the only on the bottom part of the crankcase?? Well. its been awhile since I've had mine apart but I know for sure they only go in the lower case. They do not make a complete circle. Unless I'm mistaken one goes on the right side of the crank and then one on your rear shaft and that is it. There is a great thread on here giving complete step by step instructions with pictures. Do a search, your sure to find the info you need. Quote

cexualcensations Posted October 30, 2006 Report Posted October 30, 2006 I have torn these engines down several times and know these engines like no tommarow. There are one half circlip for the right hand side crackshaft bearing ( opposite side of flywheel and stator ) and there are two other half circlips for the the transmission bearings. If you go to troy-racing.com and go to the oem parts finder you can locate the circlips if you lost one. they should be under the crackshaft and transmission catogories. But when installing them they go in the lower crank case portion. Good luck Quote
