jbooker82 Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 I was wondering if a stock bore +4mm stoker would be good in the trails. My cylinders now have an mx port job. I was just looking for more power evey where and not an all top end machine. Do you have to use the spacer plate when you run 795 Series Pistons? I dont really want to run a spacer plate because I have herd that it rases the Port timings wich would shift the power to the upper rpms a little. So if you run the 795 pistons and I get some domes cut for the stroker crank i shouldnt have to run the spacer plate right? Here is my current setup. Toomey T5's MX Port Job Timing at +4 deg Cool head 19cc domes Keihin PJ34mm Carbs K&N Pod's V force 2's Boss Racing Intake Do the Keihin PWK 35mm Air Striker carbs have as good or better responce as the Keihin PWK 33mm carbs. I was just wondering if the Air Striker part would make them respond as good as the 33's. I apprecat any advice you can give. josh Quote

odaen Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 4mils are definitely trailable. you say yer cylinders are ported now though, so it depends what your port timings are at now. because when you throw the 4mm crank in, they will change. Quote
dajogejr Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 you'll get better response from the 33's...more top end power from 35's. Quote
jbooker82 Posted October 25, 2006 Author Report Posted October 25, 2006 I am in between a rock and a hard spot with these carbs. Do you think that the 35 Air Striker carbs would have as good throttle responce as the keihin pj34mm? I was just wonding if those fins in the front of the carb help out. I am going to stick with my t5's so maybe i would be better off with the 33's thanks again. josh Quote
Animalman294 Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 The fins should cut down on the internal votexes that are created when the air goes through the carbs. They are supposed to make the air flow smoothly through............. Quote
