375hp banshees Posted October 19, 2006 Report Share Posted October 19, 2006 snap ring wont stay on put new gear and snapring on did'nt help I messed mine up good on my old '87 'had to grind the snap ring groove deeper & I think I put A smaller ID & OD ring on it . used A thin disc blade on my dremil. Yaxy Posted October 19, 2006 Report Share Posted October 19, 2006 Are you using the right tool to put the ring on? If so you may have a defective clip.
