Ok i've been watching ebay for some used jugs for my banshee and i ran across these, what kind of port job is this? I have the extra boost ports to the transfers, but these have the whole center and upper boost port cut out completely. Is there a different piston that you have to use? Because i don't think a regular bashnee piston with the holes cut in the intake side would work. These remind me of the old piston/ port jugs on the older dirt bikes. It looks like someone got a little grinder happy and they didnt work and there trying to sucker someone on ebay to get rid of them, just curious never seen this on a shee.

i saw that too .what a shame ,not only did he lose all his intake velocity but he also lost any support

by removing the bridge all together ,this area is not where the bulk of the power is made and all he really did was hinder reliablity.also he might as wel lhave not even added the baby side boysen ports becasue al l of the incoming charge will be directed through the giantcentral opening instead of diverted into the transfer jackets like they are supposed to do .that is not a very professional thought- out port job IMO.

I don't know who made those but i can tell you what's going to happen

It will work how good we dont know until the piston gets a little loose and let the skirt hook in that huge intake port on its way down and totaly Destroy itself.

Those cylinders have been ruined and are only good for garbage or new sleeves but i wouldnt sleeve them because seing the mess that has been made there, god knows what mess he made somewhere else.

Ok i feel better i thought they were junk to i dont even think sleeves would work because the center bridge gone, also thought the same thing on the piston skirt. thought about asking him what the port timing was just to see what would be said lol.

--- It seems a little bit too much but, if it has a similar design to the dirtbikes - Why wouldnt they work now ???

I wouldnt think that a tremendous amount of weight or support is really offered by it being there ..... I think of it as a dual plane intake as if it were on a car - The middle section is there to direct the incoming mixture to a certain direction on the chamber...... It would also serve as a final obstruction that would further atomize your intake...

A single plane intake does not have that same feature but everyone knows that a Single plane is rated for Higher RpMs - Alot more ......... A dual plane would add to lower rpm gains

What a shame, this is why I try to steer people to have a professional do the work, if you don't know what your doing leave it alone. In my oppinion there only good for scrap price now.
