finman Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 My stock ones have finally busted. Anyone recommend an aftermarket exhaust hanger for the CPI pipe to help space it off the head and frame? Thanks, Finman I have seen these from Modquad http://www.ridegear.com/rg/item/F-39629/Mo...a_Banshee_.html Quote
ToomeySheeLE Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 I drilled 2 small holes and put 2 bolts through the rubber on each side, spaced it out with washers on the left side, but the pipe already had a small dent from hitting the head.. I couldn't justify spending the 60$ for aftermarket ones and not knowing for sure that they wouldn't break... I also grinded off the exhaust bumpers located at the bottom of the frame, they were hitting the right side and making quite a racket while riding... they are for stock pipes and of no use for any aftermarket exhausts. finman Posted October 16, 2006 Author Report Posted October 16, 2006 has anyone tried this? https://maxvps006.maximumasp.com/v006u41ces...uctCode=02-5735 Finman Quote
Geoff Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 I bought the chrome ones from cascade innovations that have the rubber in them. They have 2 set screws built into them. I had to make 3/4 in. spacers though because if you mount them without it there all into the frame, this way it wouldn't hit my head, etc... I think I paid around $60, check out their web site. Quote
peterlocal22 Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 i just got some from modquad a couple of days ago. just like the ones your looking at only mine had the iron cross logo. they went in real nice. they come w spacers to keep the pipes off the frame. they look real nice too. Quote
