06BansheeSE Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 Hey all!! I just bought a new banshee and i have Toomey T6 pipes on it. I want to buy heads for it but am not exactly sure what i need to buy and not sure if i should go with Noss or pro design cool heads. Is there a certain size i need and what are the domes? Can someone please explain these heads to me in a easy to understand way and point me in the right direction? Thank you!! Quote
wood Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 i went with the noss head, with 21 domes,i belive the domes change your compression,do you have any other mods. Quote

I only have T6 Toomey pipes on my shee and that's it, but i would like to start learning more so i can do more mods to it. I am in New York and don't know of any mod shops or places to get things done. I'm trying to learn as much as i can on here so i make all the right decisions. Thank you all for your input, much appreciated!! Quote
wood Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 i take it that you also have the toomey jet kit and your air box lid is off, when i put my pipes on that was the next mod the noss cool head with 21 domes, now i have more mods and i stuck with the 21's. Quote
rocketboy Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 if yo u want to run pump gas then youd be better off just milling the stock head for 20ccc IMO ,if your gonna run a coolhead then noss is the only way to go IMO .David is a good guy and his design is far superior to prodesign or other heads  Quote
arlis Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 when i just bought my 06 i got some t5's k&n pods and vforce 3 reed valve system that would wake up your bike! there is really no need messing with an aftermarket head on a stock banshee imo Quote

T6 Pipes I also have the Toomey twoin1 air filter. I just instaled a Noss coolhead with 20cc domes. I compared the Noss billet head to all of the other brands and his is far more advanced. The Head itself has coolant reflectors in it witch allows for far more even cooling than you get with the stock head and a cooler engine is always a longer lasting engine. The Noss head is also much lighter. The domes raise your compression so basicaly any dead spots in your powerband wake rite up and hit alot harder. I love it!!! You will have to talk to David about what domes you can run without worrying about racing gas/detonation. You can PM him here (dlnoss) He will answer any question you have. Believe me I called him atleast 3 times while I was installing the head and he took his time and answered every question I had making it easy. Quote
