Well since I have no budget at the moment for a new bumper, so instead I decided to come up with my own renovations, for as cheap as I get, but I wanted a "new" look.

First I removed the stock bumper and welded together some open spots down towards the bottom to make it stronger.

Then, I took a long peice of steel, and measured and cut that to fit into the open gap on the stock bumper.

Then I sanded all that down and put Bondo (best smelling stuff on earth) to fill in all the gaps and even it all out nicely.

Afterwards I sanded all that down again with 50 grit, then 200 grit, to make it as fine as possible, and ready to paint.

I got the best quality spray paint I could find for the cheapest I could find (under $20)

I primed it, painted it, sanded again, primed, then painted a final time. Then put some spray on metal chrome flakes in it at the end (You can't really notice the flakes)

Here are some pics of the job, I think I did ok for my first mod on a bumper.

EDIT: Sorry for the last two pictures being so blurry, best I could do short notice, I'll have to fix it tommorrow or something.

I think your bumper looks great. Unlike a lot of people here, I'm on a budget too.

You have a nice looking Shee. Do you have any side shots?
