sredish Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 here's how i groove my turf tamers. makes for a KILLER tire. Quote
crazybluerider Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 I found a guy locally that cuts sandrail tires. He only charged me 20$ to shave 2 tires any way you want them. Quote

[email protected] Posted September 12, 2006 Author Report Posted September 12, 2006 course wood blade and sawzall. thats how i cut my knarlys...works wonderfully.. now thats more my style , im going to destroy the tires sometime this week Quote
[email protected] Posted September 12, 2006 Author Report Posted September 12, 2006 will i honestly stop spinning ( as much ) in the sand if i do this to my razars ? i cant get power to the ground Quote
okbeast Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 I wouldn't really think it would make that much difference in the sand. It seems like ur basically just making a "redneck" paddle tire. I would just invest in a paddle tire if you're havin trouble hookin up in the sand. Quote
[email protected] Posted September 12, 2006 Author Report Posted September 12, 2006 i agree , im going to leave those two treads cut off ....... its what i call CUSTOM !!!!!!! im going to get some new tires and stop all these freaking riggs. Quote
BigRed350x Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 I made my own rig when I cut my last set of razr's. We took a thin metal bar and sharpened a nice edge on one side, welded a handle on either end then heated it up with a torch and slid it through the knobbies. Left a nice clean cut and if you are careful and don't try and take too much all at once you can get down pretty close to the tire without going through. Smokes a LOT though so don't do it inside a garage or anything. Quote
[email protected] Posted September 12, 2006 Author Report Posted September 12, 2006 only if i was as tallented as you , id do that..... im going to just get a set of something on rmatv seen some tires that look like theyll do exactly what im lookin for ( 120 shipped on rims ). i will use these for drag until i can afford the slicks.... im edging up to take her to the track soon... I just hope they will let me run. Quote
