VIPES
HELLO ALL, THIS JUST HAPPENED TO MY BONE-STOCK BANSHEE. I WAS RIDING AT ROSARITO BEACH, BAJA CALIF. FOR ABOUT AN HOUR. I PARKED THE QUAD. AN HOUR LATER, I JUMPED ON IT AGAIN. IT STARTED BUT DID NOT REV AS HIGH... SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS BOGGING-OUT WITH SMOKE. WHEN I RETURNED TO LOS ANGELES, I STARTED IT AND STILL HAD THE BOGGED-OUT, SMOKEY PROBLEM. NOW, THERE IS VERY LITTLE BACK PRESSURE ON THE RIGHT SIDE. LEFT SIDE STILL SMOKES. CAN ANYONE ESTIMATE WHAT THE CAUSE CAN BE. IF AN O-RING CAN BE THE PROBLEM CAN I REPLACE OR DO I HAVE TO HONE/BORE? IF IT IS A BLOWN PISTON, WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS? bansheeryder21
It could be a number of things off the top of my head! Check your parking brake! Set it and release it a few times! Some times it gets stuck and won't allow the bike to rev up (tors). Also since you are getting less smoke on the right side, you could have fouled a plug! Change your plugs too and see what happens! Rustbag
Check compression. Could be blown head gasket or worse. Hope not.
400ccStroker_shee
Check compression. Could be blown head gasket or worse. Hope not. check to see if there is any leaking that you can see visually, look around the base of the cylinders and where the head comes together with the cylinders. Also, make sure you look at your plugs if your rich it can cause bogging and smoking
