  1. Hey all, newbie here! just got a hot rods 4 mil crank(part# 421-4111) and wanted to know what other mods i should consider for the installation. (What kind of porting, pistons, carbs, reeds, etc ). i currently have stock 2003 banshee with T5's and jetted. i'm not looking for drag set-up, though. let me know!!
  2. What are the advantages of adding the boost bottle? Do you gain any power at all or better throttle response? Or is it just for choke purposes?

  5. I'm a single guy Headin' out there and tryin' to convince my married friends to join me.
  6. The "green/yellow stripe" wire should be part of the e-brake and was part of a white plug with a black(ground wire). I eliminated the e-brake entirely. I have a 2003 and saw that the CDI had five wires coming out of it too! The green/yellow stripe was the fifth wire, so I did my best to clip it and tape it up so as to not cause a short. BTW, my brake light was blue wire.
  7. I have seen diagrams for years up to 1999. I can't seem to find the one for 2003. The only problem I have is one wire colored green/with yellow stripe coming out of the CDI, which is not on the 1999 diagram. I am eliminating all junk wiring and the green/yellow wire is my last one, so i am undecided to cut out. Any diagrams or comment will be helpful, my fellow riders!! Thanks!
  8. Can anyone advise me where I can find stickers/decals of SILHOUETTES of a rider jumping with his banshee? All I could find were the designs with hondas or suzukis.
  9. EVEYONE'S INPUT HAS BEEN GREAT. I REALLY APPRECIATE IT. THANKS ALL. I ALSO DIsCONNECTED THE TORS BLACK BOX AT THE SAME TIME, JUST FORGOT TO MENTION IT. WHEN I INSTALLED THE T-5's, I ALSO DRILLED AND TAPPED THE CARBS MY SELF. NOW I THINK IT IS JUST A JETTING ISSUE BECAUSE IT IDLES FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS THEN SHUTS OFF. THE CARBS MAKE THAT FUNNY BOGG-ED OUT SOUND WHEN I GIVE IT GAS. I WILL INSTALL 280 JETS. IS THAT A GOOD RANGE TO USE? I RIDE AT PISMO AND GLAMIS. I AM IN THE LOS ANGELES AREA. I WILL HAVE TO OPEN THE CARBS AGAIN AND CHECK EVERYTHING. ANY SUGGESTIONS WILL BE NICE, THANKS !
  10. HEY FELLOW RIDERS ! I HAVE DISCONNECTED THE TORS, DISCONNECTED/ELIMINATED THE E BRAKE AND DISCONNECTED THE WIRE FROM THE THROTTLE (NOT THE ACTUAL THROTTLE BUT THE OTHER ONE.). IS THERE ANY WIRES I HAVE TO SPLICE AND CONNECT TOGETHER ? PLEASE HELP WITH INSTRUCTIONS. BIKE TURNS ON BUT WILL SHUT OFF WITHIN SECONDS.

  12. CAN SOMEONE HELP WHERE I NEED TO DO SOME DISCONNECTIONS. I PURCHASED THE CABLES TO REMOVE THE "REV LIMITERS" (THOSE CLUMSY LOOKING THINGS ON TOP THE CARBS) AND MY FRIEND SAID THAT I STILL NEED TO RE-WIRE OR ELIMINATE SOME OTHER WIRING. ANYONE'S HELP PLEASE. IF THERE ARE PICTURES FOR THIS, PLEASE ADVISE. THANKS !
  13. MIXING 40:1. 91 OCTANE. A FRIEND OF MINE PUT HIGHER OCTANE AND DID THE SAME THING. SMOKE EVERYWHERE.
  14. I HAVE NOT RIDDEN SINCE THE NEW INSTALLATIONS. MY PLUGS ARE NEW. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT SIZE JETS YOU HAVE. SEEMS WE BOTH HAVE T-5's.
  15. I HAVE BEEN STRUGGLING TO FIND OUT THE ROOT CAUSE WITH MY BANSHEE. I TURNED IT ON AND SMOKES HEAVILY. I PUT MY HAND AT THE TIP OF THE EXHAUST AT THE RIGHT SIDE AND GOT MY HAND WET WITH FUEL. BAD FUEL MIXTURE, MAYBE PISTON PROBLEM, CRANK SEAL ISSUE, NOT SURE? I BARELY HAVE ABOUT 25 HOURS OF RIDING IT AND A YEAR OF OWNING THE BIKE. IT DID IT BONE STOCK. I FIGURED IT WOULD BE A CARBURETOR PROBLEM. SO I INSTALLED TOOMEY'S T-5, PUT NEW SPARK-PLUGS AND LEFT THE STOCK JET. I HAVE NOT RIDDEN THE QUAD WITH THE NEW INSTALLATIONS YET. STILL DOING SAME PROBLEM. ANY CLUES. PLEASE ADVISE.
  16. I live in Los Angeles. I ride at Pismo Beach (sea level) and Glamis (??? elev.) The mods I have are only the toomey's T-5 and K&N air filter with no air box. Other than that it is pretty much stock.
  17. CAN ANY ONE PLEASE RECOMMEND WHAT SIZE JETS TO USE FOR MY BANSHEE. I FRIEND SAYS 350 AND ANOTHER SAYS 220. ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS?
  18. HELLO ALL, THIS JUST HAPPENED TO MY BONE-STOCK BANSHEE. I WAS RIDING AT ROSARITO BEACH, BAJA CALIF. FOR ABOUT AN HOUR. I PARKED THE QUAD. AN HOUR LATER, I JUMPED ON IT AGAIN. IT STARTED BUT DID NOT REV AS HIGH... SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS BOGGING-OUT WITH SMOKE. WHEN I RETURNED TO LOS ANGELES, I STARTED IT AND STILL HAD THE BOGGED-OUT, SMOKEY PROBLEM. NOW, THERE IS VERY LITTLE BACK PRESSURE ON THE RIGHT SIDE. LEFT SIDE STILL SMOKES. CAN ANYONE ESTIMATE WHAT THE CAUSE CAN BE. IF AN O-RING CAN BE THE PROBLEM CAN I REPLACE OR DO I HAVE TO HONE/BORE? IF IT IS A BLOWN PISTON, WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?
